Company in the News Dec-2017

See what PlayGround-LA Writers are up to as we prepare for the December 11 round of Monday Night PlayGround.

Elayne Heilveil will have pieces in the soon to be released “Best Ten-Minute Plays, 2017”, “Best Women’s Monologues, 2017” and the upcoming “Best Ten-Minute Plays, 2018” by Smith and Kraus. The pieces were originated from Playground LA prompts.

Nayna Agrawal's play, SLUT, will appear in New York in December, courtesy of Clutch Productions. Her play, DHARMA, will appear at the AOA theater in mid January. And her play, REALITY CHECK, will be performed as part of Moving Arts car play series in Costa Mesa in January.

Allie Costa booked and filmed an episode of a streaming comedy series. She also recently appeared in a workshop of the new musical BRAVO. Her play, WHO SHE COULD HAVE BEEN, was selected for the Fantastic.Z festival, coming to Seattle in March 2018. http://www.alliecosta.com

Jonathan Josephson's short play BUBBIE IT'S COLD OUTSIDE will be part of Force of Naure's 'Twas The Rush Before Christmas, Nov 30-Dec 3 (fonproductions.com). His 10-minute GRANDPA AND THE GAY RABBI was recently published in the 41st Sam French Off-Off Broadway Collection.

Two of Rhea MacCallum's monologues from FOMO were selected for publication in Smith & Kraus' anthology The Best Men's Stage Monologues 2018.

David Meyers just shot a national commercial now running in NYC and LA, and booked a Feature Film that shoots this month.

Jennie Webb is excited that her "little rape comedy" REBECCA ON THE BUS - directed by Shaina Rosenthal, with Anna Lamadrid, Denah Angel & Tarah Pollock - was featured in Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA's Lanchpad Series on Sunday, December 3. jenniewebbsite.com + @jenniewebbsite
