Superman stands to one side. Luthor stands to the other side. Lois stands or sits in the middle, loosely tied up.

LUTHOR
Ha! Superman you can’t save her and save the people on that bridge. You have to choose.

SUPERMAN
You’ll never get away with it Luthor.

LUTHOR
Oh yes I will.

Luthor pulls out a small box from his pocket and opens it. It has kryptonite. He shows Superman and Superman becomes weak. As Superman struggles Luthor gets comfortable walking around superman.

LUTHOR
Poor little Superman. The mere sight of kryptonite can weaken you. Where are all your powers now? This is power! This is true power and I have it all. Your precious little Lois will be dead soon and so will those people on the bridge because you can’t save them.

SUPERMAN
I’ll stop you Luthor.

LUTHOR
Never.

Lois falls over and dies.

SUPERMAN
Lois!

Luthor puts the kryptonite on the floor and runs off stage with an evil laugh. Superman continues to struggle.

Lois lies on the floor. She begins to move.

LOIS
This is ridiculous.

SUPERMAN
What?

Lois begins to stand and removes her ropes.

LOIS
This is shit.

Luthor steps back on.

LUTHOR
Is there a problem?

LOIS
A problem? Are you fucking kidding me?

Luthor looks at Superman.

LUTHOR
I can’t work with this.

Superman stands and brushes off his legs.

SUPERMAN
Jesus, just die already.

LOIS
Lois never dies you idiot!

LUTHOR
Yeah, and Lois is worth saving.

LOIS
Excuse me?

LUTHOR
What? I’m just saying.

LOIS
Dick.

SUPERMAN
Are we still doing this?
