PlayGround-LA Company News Jan-15

See what PlayGround-LA Writers are up to as we prepare for the January 12 round of Monday Night PlayGround.

Allie Costa's play TWO GIRLS has been selected for the UNHEARD Festival, being produced by Goblin Baby Theatre Co. at The Bread & Roses Theatre in London this February. Allie recently narrated the audiobook THE GENEROSITY OF STRANGERS and is currently in rehearsal for the new musical INVISIBLE, among other things.

Lucy Wang will be a guest on an episode of The Inclusion Show with Wallace Ford.  Her monologue Down There will be produced by Lady Bits: Unsolicited Comments on Womanhood, to be sponsored by Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey in the spring.

Jennie Webb's short play REBECCA ON THE BUS was part of Little Black Dress INK's last Female Playwrights ONSTAGE Project, "Planting the Seed Festival," Jan 2 & 3 in Prescott, AZ.

Forrest Hartl will be teaching this spring in the Cerritos College and College of the Desert theatre departments.

Vincent Terrell Durham's 10-minute play TRASH DAY makes its debut at Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro, CA on January 9th. The play will run until February 14th as a part of Pick Of The Vine-Season 13. Early December saw the completion of TARGETS OF CHOICE with Renovation Productions. When not entertaining family from afar, Kathleen Cecchin is celebrating survivors of heart disease in a  feature entitled "Ladies in Red" for Bakersfield Magazine. You can find their profiles in the February 1st edition.

Back from many months on the road with her last hour and a half stand-up show, D#%k So Big, Katie Rubin is excited to be working with her spiritual healing clients, writing new material, and watching WAY too much Family Guy.
