PlayGround-LA Nov 12 Finalists Announced!


PlayGround-LA announced the topic ("SEA-CHANGE") last Friday and Los Angeles playwrights had just four-and-a-half days to generate their original short plays inspired by the topic. The top six scripts have been selected (see below) and will be presented as script-in-hand staged readings for the next Monday Night PlayGround on Monday, November 12 at 8pm. This month's selected plays/playwrights are:
Cross Winds Over the Saanich Inlet by Karen Howes
Seed Change by Forrest Hartl
Distance Makes the Heart Grow Further by Andrew Crabtree
Aptos by Doug Haverty
And We'll Drink Coconut Milk Under A Tropic Sky by Susan Hunter
Waiting for Kafka by Kevin Crust

Directors include: Jesus Reyes, Molly Noble, Ivan Rivas, Alejandra Cisneros, Lee Sankowich, and PlayGround-LA Artistic Director Jim Kleinmann.

Tickets are $15, $20 for priority seating and $10 for students. 6-admission season subscriptions are available for $75 and include priority seating, free ticket exchange and discounts at the PlayGround Bookstore.
